The deadline to apply for the 2020 Festival of Arts Fine Art Show is quickly approaching. Voted one of the top five art festivals in the nation by USA Today readers, the Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach is a prestigious, highly competitive, regional juried fine art show featuring original artwork by Orange County’s finest artists. Artists who would like to apply for the 2020 fine art show should submit three digital images per media and a completed application form to the Festival of Arts by October 31, 2019 (by 4pm). Artists applying to the Festival of Arts must be able to show that they have resided in Orange County for at least one year prior to October 31, 2019. Jurying fees are $50 per medium submitted.

he panel of art experts jurying for the 2020 exhibit include Amanda Best, Professor and Art Department Chair at Golden West College; Los Angeles-based multi-disciplinary artist Bradford J. Salamon; and Malcolm Warner, Executive Director of Laguna Beach Art Museum and former director of the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas. Also jurying the fine art show are Ron Azevedo, award-winning photographer well-known for his Chernobyl series; David Milton, thirty-plus year watercolorist and mixed media artist; and Vinita Voogd, printmaker, art instructor at Saddleback College and former president of the Los Angeles Printmaking Society. They will score the submitted artwork based on quality, intention and content; excellence of craftsmanship; facility with media; excellence in the use of design elements; and professional presentation.
