The non-profit Yuri’s Night event will feature NASA astronaut Story Musgrave , who lead the 1st Hubble Space walk mission, Bill Nye: The Science Guy, Virgin Galatic’s 1st Pilot Astronaut Mark “Forger” Stucky, a Q&A with Rod Roddenberry of the Roddenberry foundation( Star Trek) while he’s Scuba diving inside an aquarium tank, interactive displays, silent disco inside the Kelp Forest, and top DJ’s. Experiences brought by local space enthusiast and aerospace companies. Held at the Samuel Oschin Space Shuttle Endeavour Pavillion at the California Science Center.

On Saturday, April 6th Yuri’s Night, will once again bring awareness and celebrate Space exploration and achievements of humanity in space with an evening full of interactive activities, curated talks, art installations, and dancing underneath the Space Shuttle Endeavour.

NASA astronaut Story Musgrave who lead the first shuttle spacewalk on Challenger’s first flight and has participated in six space shuttle missions, including the Endeavour, will share his tales of being part of space exploration history.

Jessica Encell Coleman, founder of The Magic of Human Connection, will bring her signature series of sacred and playful heart opening activities for attendees to create deep connections and explore the magic, joy, and create higher states of consciousness together.

Launch Pad, Yuri’s Night pre-party activity will feature Rod Roddenberry, Founder of the Roddenberry Foundation and son of legendary Star Trek writer and producer, Gene Roddenberry. Roddenberry will do a live Q&A while scuba diving inside the Kelp Forest Tank, a Yuri’s Night first! Additional Launch Pad explorations: Yuri’s Night ambassador meet and greet, out of this world art cars, Astrophotography, Virtual reality games and tours, fine art gallery.

“Yuri’s Night Ambassadors” are exceptional professionals who are connected to the field of aerospace who attendees can approach throughout the evening to ask all their space questions.

Yuri’s Night provides a platform to showcase the creative ways humankind is exploring space. Virtual reality exhibits, art installations, and space memorabilia take over the halls of the California Science Center heightening the experience of the celebratory night.

Positron Theater : Virtual reality pods that act as a portal to distant worlds, providing a submersive experience like you’ve never seen before. Content provided by Technicolor.

COLONY : an immersive art experience coming to Los Angeles in 2020 is grounded in the The “Overview Effect”, a living museum where artists and craftsman build, share and collaborate. YNLA guests will experience the first earth viewing asteroid from the COLONY installation under the shuttle.

Apollo 11 Fine Art and Memorabilia – Specially curated Apollo 11 themed art exhibit and artists.

Virtual Reality experience by RedPill – Buzz Aldrin: Cycling the Pathway to Mars and a tour of Yuri Gagarin’s capsule.

Mister Fusion – a futuristic art car of the highest caliber by Henry Chang, that will be displayed at AREA15, an experiential immersive entertainment complex, opening in Las Vegas in the beginning of 2020.

Back To The Future, Nate Truman will be bringing a Back to the Future DeLorean to the front door of the venue so have your selfie cameras ready!

The non-profit organization also hosts a free family-friendly interactive event “Yuri’s Night Kids” held at the Columbia Memorial Space Center in Downey. It will feature hands-on activities that are designed to educate and create excitement about space. All ages of students will be able to meet rocket scientists and engineers from Virgin Galactic, and local space tech companies to learn about a variety of paths to careers in the Aerospace industry.
