Our/Los Angeles vodka held an invite-only collaborative tasting event in their distillery, located in the Arts District of Los Angeles, last Wednesday, February 6th. The event sponsors included  MARU Coffee, CocoVivo and Modern Luxury magazine. It also featured a collaboration with egoless social storytelling platform, StoryPlace app, founded by actress Ivana De Maria.

Guests were comprised of traditional media outlets, media influencers and talent. Attendees also had the opportunity to tour the state-of-the-art distillery located on-site.  Outlets who took part in the collaborative tasting event included Spiritsman, Chilled Magazine, Huffington Post, Hollywood Glam Mag and more.  Attendees included actor and musician, Drew Seeley, actor Arap Bethke, and GQ Insider, Ty Severe, to name a few.

Upon arrival, guests were greeted by Our/Los Angeles’ Partners, Anton van der Woude and Rupert Runewitsch, who manage the brand’s presence here in Southern California. Samantha Hochhauser, the brand’s 28-year-old distiller, was on site serving up custom espresso martinis, vodka Manhattans and more, while explaining the specifics of the vodka which she distills herself on-site. Guests were also given a tour of the state-of-the-art distillery to better understand how the vodka is made and what sets it apart from other brands.

Lastly, StoryPlace app was on site sharing visual ‘ice-breaker’ cards that asked guests fun questions (Where did you have your first drink?) prompting guests to share their favorite cocktails stories with each other. They also simultaneously launched a contest on their app where any user can share their mixology themed story to the platform for a chance to win their very own private tasting and tour at the distillery. This contest runs through February 13th. Anyone 21+ may enter by downloading StoryPlace from the app store and uploading their story.

The event marks the second soiree at the Arts District distillery. The brand is set to host an official launch party for their Our/Los Angeles Podcast on February 26th.
