Bionic Buzz® got to cover the media night of incredible new The Queen Mary Christmas. As you may notice whats different about this year to pasts is that it all takes place on board the world famous ship. Our own Steve Sievers and his family got to enjoy a vintage rush of holiday family fun with live entertainment, libations and treats, ice-skating onboard one of the Queen Mary’s decks, a Gingerbread Village, Stocking Shop, vintage-dressed carolers, light shows, and much more. See the details below. Tons of great photos ops for your kids and whole family.

On the bow of the ship, there is an unique 80-foot Christmas tree made of over 45,000 twinkling LED lights. Each night there is a tree lighting ceremony with countdown and live singers. The tree is synchronized to the holiday music playing so get your video camera ready to capture the magic. Enjoy the view of the beautiful Pacific shore and downtown Long Beach.

If you want a better view of the Long Beach skyline and harbor, then head up to the North Pole. I mean True North Ice Skating Rink, atop the ship’s Sports Deck. Ice skate in this intimate rink under the Queen Mary’s festive stack. Space is limited so I would suggest picking a time and getting there early.

You have been promoted, to Captain! Now its time to report to Captain’s Quarters. In this cute North Pole workshop you can meet Santa himself. You can also decorate a stocking at the Stocking Shop inside the room. There are cute tables for your kids to pretend to help Santa build toys for him also. As you can tell, my kids really loved it in here.

In the Stern of the ship make sure to visit the Gingerbread Village. You and your family can build their own gingerbread house next to a giant gingerbread replica of the Queen Mary. Also there is the 4D Theatre were you get a special screening of The Polar Express. Features water, fake snow, smells & more in this 4D experience. Don’t worry you don’t get that wet in it.

Did someone say Christmas lights? Yes! The Queen Mary has a ton of them. A lot in one magical tunnel called the Channel of Lights which is outside. There is also the tree-lined Promenade Deck. While there make sure to take your kids to the art & crafts area. There is also holiday face painting, photo op stations, singers, holiday theme drinks/desserts and more.

Queen Mary Christmas takes place now through January 6, 2019. Tickets start at the low price of $22 for adults and $16 for children. If you want to do a tour and see the exhibits on board the ship, then upgrade to The Grand Passport ticket for only $40. If plan on doing ALL the holiday actives then I recommend getting the VIP ticket. It includes ice skating, trimming stockings, tours and exhibits for $70 for adults and $55 for children. Each event takes time and may have a wait for table space availability. I would suggest getting there early to make sure you have time to soak in all the magic!
