Got to attend VR Con at the Hilton Gaslamp Hotel by the convention center as an off site for SDCC. VR CON was created to celebrate the boldest and coolest in the exploding areas of Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Mediated Reality (MR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Wearable Computing. VR CON covers entertainment, gaming, education, travel, design, and more. There were a lot of awesome VR on display at the exhibit. First off was a Magic Planet from Global Imagination. Think of it as a VR globe. Can be used for education purposes for class rooms or display in hotel lobbies. Some models are interactive and can swipe and spin with your hand’s touch. They come in many different sizes also. You can check out my video of it.

Next up was VRWERX‘s VR demo of Paranormal Activity The Lost Soul video game. It was creepy, it was scary, it made me scream and jump!  You can see my reactions in the video below. It will be getting released on PlayStation VR, VIVE, and Oculus.

Staying on horror topic, I got to try VRcade Time Zombies by VRstudios which provides virtual reality in a new medium full-motion wireless VR. As you can see in my photo, my VR head set & VR gun was completely wireless. With zombies coming at you from all around, the no chords helps a lot because you are spinning and shooting zombies left & right. It feels like something straight out of a amusement park ride and I am sure will be ones at some point. For someone who is very passionate about Call of Duty Zombies, Time zombies was the perfect VR for me. Can’t wait to play it again sometime. @SteveSievers
