Writer/director Dennis Dugan is set to direct LOVE, WEDDINGS & OTHER DISASTERS. The cast so far includes Academy and Golden Globe Award Winner Diane Keaton, Academy/Golden Globe/Emmy/SAG Winner Jeremy Irons, Diego Boneta, DNCE guitarist JinJoo Lee, Jesse McCartney and Veronica Ferres.
It’s the first independent feature for studio director Dugan, whose box office hits include; HAPPY GILMORE, JUST GO WITH IT, BIG DADDY and GROWN UPS 1&2. Dugan’s lifetime box office has surpassed the 2 billion-dollar mark.
Fully financed by Align, filming will begin September 16, 2019 in Boston.
LOVE, WEDDINGS & OTHER DISASTERS is a female-driven, multi-story romantic comedy about the people who work on weddings to create the perfect day for the loving couple – while their own relationships are outlandish, odd, crazy and far, far from perfect.
An original screenplay by Dugan, LOVE, WEDDINGS & OTHER DISASTERS is produced by Nadine de Barros of Fortitude, Mike Rachmill, Dan Reardon, Adrian Politowski and Martin Metz. Executive producing are Lisa Wolofsky, Frank Buchs, Al Munteanu and Santosh Govindaraju.
Fortitude will introduce LOVE, WEDDINGS & OTHER DISASTERS to buyers at the upcoming Toronto Film Festival.
Gersh and Endeavor Content are handling US rights.
