I got to attend an advance screening of Disney’s Aladdin yesterday afternoon at the RealD 3D headquarters in Beverly Hills, CA thanks to Digital LA. The screening featured a pre-party with photo ops, Aladdin inspired food, open bar with Aladdin inspired specialty drink Arabian Nights, basketball / skee-ball games and red carpet photo op. The movie was amazing. I was always hoping for a live action version of Aladdin. The film follows in the same footsteps of the live action version of Disney’s Beauty & The Beast. By staying true to the core of original animated featured but adding extra depth to the characters with addition scenes. We get a lot of fun background in Princess Jasmine that we didn’t learn in the original. The 3D was amazing in the film and really shinned during the magic carpet scenes. Why is Disney’s Aladdin better in RealD 3d? RealD’s patented “Light Doubling” technology creates the brightest 3D image. RealD is at least 2X brighter than other 3D. RealD’s “Ultimate Screen” is scientifically engineered surface which is 75% brighter. Surface creates sharper image, truer colors and no 3D ghosting.
