WHAT: It’s better to give than to receive, so in the spirit of the holidays Boomtown Brewery is looking to aide their local homeless population with help from the good folks of Project Paper Bag and The Hippie Kitchen.
Starting at 11:00am, Project Paper Bag will be bagging lunches for the homeless. At noon, Boomtown will open their event space to move the party inside and collect additional items. They will also be donating a portion of the day’s proceeds, in addition to collecting donations of all shapes and sizes.
The Following NEW items will be accepted: Prepackaged snacks, socks, underwear, lotion, razors, shampoo, bar soap, deodorant, reading glasses, chap-stick, toothpaste, toothbrushes, feminine hygiene products, sweatshirts, blankets, sleeping bags, tents, tarps and yoga mats.
Volunteers are very much welcome! It’s a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community and those in need. So, roll up your sleeves to make meals, or even just drive by with a care package. This event is for all ages and is free to attend! The brewery will not officially open until noon, but volunteers can get a head start on being helpful at 11:00am.
WHEN: Sunday, December 22nd 11:00AM-3:00PM
WHERE: Boomtown Brewery 700 Jackson St., Los Angeles, CA 90012
WHY: Craft beer in the name of a good cause? We can’t think of a better way to spend a Sunday during the holidays.
